Welcome to the Madera County Superintendent of Schools collaboration with Fresno County Superintendent of Schools Clear Administrative Services Credential Program (CASC).  This program is designed to guide new administrators through the process of clearing their Administrative Services Credential.  Candidates are provided mentoring by veteran adminstrators who offer guidance and insight into the many challenges that administrators face in the school system.  In addition to the mentoring, candidates participate with other cohort members in interactive sessions to allow them to share experiences, network, and gain insight into other administrative issues.  Professional development and job shadowing allow the candidates to be up-to-date in current issues and initiatives within the K-12 system.

Candidates enroll in the MCSOS/FCSS CASC Program for two-consecutive years and participate in individual and cohort mentoring sessions.  Specific goals and activities are aligned to candidates needs as identified through program assessments and interactions.  An initial assessment, based on the California Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (CPSEL), is administered at the beginning of the program to help candidates to identify areas of need and to allow for measurement of growth.  In order to demonstrate progress over the course of the program, candidates maintain an online e-portfolio.

To be eligible for a Clear Administrative Services Credential individuals must satisfy all of the following requirements:

  • Possess a valid Preliminary Adminstrative Services Credential.
  • Verify a minimum of two years of successful experience in a full-time school of equivalent status, while holding a Preliminary Adminstrative Services Credential.
  • Complete a Commission-approved alternative program based on Commission-adopted guidelines resulting in a formal recommendation from the program sponsor

In order to meet Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) requirements candidates must enroll in the CASC program within 120 days of receiving an adminstrative position.
