Fingerprinting Services

The Madera County Superintendent of Schools provides fingerprinting services for the districts within Madera County, as well as private schools and county agencies.
 
Fingerprinting is by appointment ONLY and is scheduled 45 minutes apart, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  All fingerprints are electronically transmitted to the Department of Justice with an anticipated three to five working days response period; however, it can take several months for clearance.  Results are sent directly to the requesting agency.
 
The Department of Justice requires each applicant be refingerprinted with every new application for employment.  For your privacy protection, personal background information cannot be shared between agencies.
 

Fingerprinting requirements:

 
Please bring the following to receive fingerprinting services:
  • Request for Live Scan Service form;
  • $15 rolling fee – Cash, Personal Check, Cashier’s Check, or Money Order (payable to MCSOS);
  • Valid federal, state, or local government picture ID (Driver’s license, passport, etc.)
