Adapted Physical Education services are provided to students who have disabilities in the areas of gross motor, fine motor, perceptual motor and/or physical fitness.  These students may be unable to participate in the activities of the general physical education program with their typically developing peers, in a modified general education program, or in a specially designed physical education program in a special class.

Direct instruction or consultative services may also be provided to pupils, parents, teachers or other school personnel to identify supplementary aids and services or modifications necessary for the students’ successful participation in the regular physical education programs.
