Psychological Services
Psychological services are provided to school districts and special education programs throughout the Madera County area. School psychologists for the Madera County Superintendent of Schools focus on assisting district staff with student behavior issues and evaluations. In-services to staff on methodologies dealing with program behaviors, group counseling sessions with students, parent education programs, and behavior intervention teams focusing on individual students exhibiting severe behavior disorders are all important elements of this services.
School psychologists provide counseling, consultation, behavior plan development, and customized services as needed. School psychologists administer psycho-educational assessments as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to determine a student’s eligibility to receive special education services.
