WorkAbility I

WorkAbility I (WAI) is a competitive grant training program for students with disabilities ages 16-22 who have active IEP’s (Individual Education Programs).  WorkAbility I is designed to promote career awareness and exploration, and work experience while students complete their secondary education program.  Businesses who provide work opportunities to WorkAbility I students recognize the valuable contributions that individuals with disabilities make to the workforce  and their communities.

Mission

The mission of WorkAbility I (WAI)  is to promote the involvement of key stakeholders including students, families, educators, businesses and other agencies in planning and implementing an array of services that will culminate in successful student transition to employment, life long learning and quality of adult life.
